Sara Slee Brown works with digital imaging. Using the computer as her medium she combines photographic images and original artwork into works of art which are then printed on an inkjet printer. Her focus on combining images of natural beauty with man-made buildings create imaginary scenarios which give rise to possibilities and ideas outside everyday experience. The digital prints are cut and glued in layers onto canvas which is then painted with several coats of acrylic varnish to protect them from UV light, dust and damage. The resulting surface is more paint than print, revealing the artist’s hand upon the work.
